With Manchester United star Paul Pogba having reportedly rejected a contract offer from Manchester City, his reason for doing so appears to have been revealed.

The Frenchman's deal at the Red Devils will expire in June, and it seems unlikely he will extend his stay at the club ahead of the 2022/23 season.
On the weekend, it was suggested that the Premier League leaders had approached Pogba's camp regarding a free transfer, although it was later claimed the 29-year-old turned down their advances and instead prefers a move abroad.
According to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth, the ex-Juventus midfielder snubbed City due the way he has been treated by the English media since his 2016 return to United.

Pogba has reportedly feels he has been made the scapegoat for the struggling 20-time English champions' issues this season, leaving it "increasingly likely" he will leave the country in the coming transfer window.
After recently picking up an injury, the Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain-linked midfielder is expected to miss the rest of the campaign and has therefore already made his final appearance for United.
