A number of Tottenham Hotspurs players have reportedly been surprised by the Jose Mourinho has used Gareth Bale this season.
The Welshman joined the North London outfit on loan from Real Madrid before the start of the 2020/21 season after falling out favour under Zinedine Zidane.
Bale is yet to replicate the form that saw him help Los Blancos win four UEFA Champions League titles, which could be down to a lack of regular minutes.
The 31-year-old winger has made just one start in the Premier League this season, with his other three appearances coming off the bench.
ESPN have reported that 'senior figures' have been left surprised that Bale has not been used more by Mourinho despite impressing in training.
Despite the lack of regular game time in the first half of the campaign, it is believed that the Welsh winger remains happy in North London.
Bale will look to get some action when Spurs lock horns with Sheffield United on Sunday after being an unused substitute against Fulham on Wednesday.
