According to reports, Paul Pogba has communicated to Manchester United's top brass that he wants to leave at the end of the season, and has made it clear which club he intends to join.
According to the Daily Star, the midfielder met with United chiefs several weeks ago to communicate his intention to leave Old Trafford once this season has concluded and join 13-time European champions Real Madrid.
Pogba is out of contract at the end of this campaign, and six years after his £89 million (R1.8 billion) move from Juventus, the Frenchman will seemingly be looking to leave United on a free transfer for the second time.
It is further claimed that both parties agreed that Pogba's time back in Manchester has fallen short of expectations, with the Red Devils deciding to cut their losses by not offering the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner a new contract.
Earlier this week, United interim boss Ralf Rangnick made an unusual admission in saying he is more than happy to allow the midfielder to showcase his talents as the player runs down the last few months of his contract in order to secure a deal elsewhere, which now appears to be Los Blancos.
Pogba returned to first-team training this week after an injury to his thigh he sustained back in November 2021 while on international duty.
