Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal with Ralf Rangnick to become the club's interim manager for the rest of the season.
Rangnick is currently the head of sport and development at Russian Premier League outfit Lokomotiv Moscow but is now set to return to management.
The Athletic have reported thathave reported that the Red Devils have reached agreement with the former RB Leipzig coach, subject to Lokomotiv agreeing to release him from his contract.
The report adds that the initial will only be six months, before he will get a further two years in a consultancy role with the Premier League.
Rangnick must still get a work permit and will not be available for Sunday's Premier League tie against Chelsea.
In the meantime, Michael Carrick will once again take charge as he did for the 2-0 win over Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
