Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly looking to raid his former club FC Barcelona for one of their stars ahead of next season.

The Citizens have been linked with a number of players in recent months, as Guardiola looks to bolster his squad for the next campaign.
According to Diario Sport, the Citizens are pushing for a deal to secure the services of midfielder Sergi Roberto and have already made their interest known.
It is believed that the Spaniard is a top target for the Premier League outfit, but the report says the player is happy at the Camp Nou.
Roberto made his Barcelona debut under Guardiola in the 2010/2011 season and played two seasons with the legendary manager.

The 28-year-old's current deal with the Catalan giants only ends in 2022 and it could be tough for City to get their man as Barcelona are looking to offload Nelson Semedo, which would leave them short-handed at the right-back position.

Despite coming through the ranks as a midfielder, Roberto has played a quite few games at right-back in the past few seasons.
