Manchester City are reportedly planning a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, as Sergio Aguero's contract expires at the end of the season.
Haaland's star his risen since joining the Bundesliga giants in 2020, having scored an impressive 22 goals in 22 matches in the 2020/2021 campaign so far.
According to the Mirror, City are looking to make a move for the Norwegian before his release clause kicks next year.
It is believed that Haaland would be available for the £68million in 2022, but the Citizens are looking to beat off the competition with £100million bid in the next transfer window.
The report claims Pep Guardiola wants the 2020 Golden Boy winner to lead his attack next season as Aguero's contract runs out at the end of the current campaign.
The Premier League's all-time record scorer Alan Shearer feels Haaland, along with Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe, would be perfect as Aguero's successor.

“I’m not talking about trying to get Harry Kane to leave Tottenham because we all know what he feels about that football club, but he is an outstanding forward.
“You know, any half decent centre forward in that Man City team would and should score 30 plus goals a season – that’s league goals – not just any goals.
“With the chances that they create and the balls that they put into the box, with those players in that team, with De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling, all these players in there.
“I think a half decent centre forward should get 30 goals.”
