After his public feud with club-record signing Paul Pogba, Jose Mourinho has reportedly fallen out with another key player of his squad.
According to the Daily Mail, the Portuguese coach has become an "isolated figure" at Old Trafford, and it has now been claimed that the United boss is barely on speaking terms with captain Antonio Valencia after dropping him for the West Ham United game on Saturday.
Mourinho was said to be upset with Valencia for not attending the club's Carabao Cup defeat to Derby County last week, and criticised his role as captain. The Ecuadorian is the latest star to have reportedly clashed with the former Chelsea boss, with the under-fire coach having recently stripped Pogba of the vice-captaincy.
Alexis Sanchez was also not in the squad against West Ham, and reportedly reacted furiously to his omission. It has been claimed the Chilean is already considering his future despite having joined the club just 10 months ago.
Last week, Mourinho clashed with Marcus Rashford after questioning his attitude in a team meeting, while several players, including Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly and Andres Pereira, reportedly side with Pogba against Mourinho.
It is believed the tactician is the most isolated he has ever been since joining United, and it remains to be seen whether or not he can turn his fortunes around.
