Arsenal are reportedly targeting a Borussia Dortmund star as they look to bolster their squad for next season.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Gunners are keen on signing Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos for next term.
Veteran defender Per Mertesacker is set to retire at the end of the season, while Rob Holding and Callum Chambers are yet to prove themselves.
The same report claim the Greek defender is looking to leave the Bundesliga giants at the end of the season.
However, the Gunners would have competition for his signature as Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus have also been linked with the defender.
Since joining Dortmund in 2013, The 29-year-old has gone on to make 193 appearances the club across all competitions.
