The 25-year-old netted a brace in Manchester City's 4-0 win over Watford this week, and has now scored 19 times in the league this season.
As a consequence, 2019/20 marks his best personal campaign yet, bettering his 18 strikes from the 2017/18 season with one game to spare.
Overall, he has now taken his EPL tally to 85 strikes, one more than Ronaldo managed to score during his time at Manchester United.
Sterling has scored 67 of his Premier League goals since joining City in 2015, adding to the 18 he netted for Liverpool before making the switch to Manchester.
He needed 258 appearances to reach his current total, while Ronaldo scored his 84 strikes in 196 games.
Overall, the England international has scored 29 goals and assisted another nine strikes in 49 games across all competitions for the Citizens so far this season.
