London outfit Chelsea welcome Manchester City to Stamford Bridge for a Premier League fixture on Wednesday night – here is how the two teams will line up.
Teams: Chelsea vs Manchester City
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Date: 5 April 2017
The game is expected to be a battle between two teams with contrasting styles as Chelsea have built their success this season around a solid defence, whereas City have blown teams away with their attack fluidity.
The London club has only managed to beat the Citizens five times in their past 15 matches in the league, which is quite surprising as the Blues have been quite successful over the past few years.
The last time Pep Guardiola's side beat Chelsea away was in April 2016, and it was a historical victory as it went down as their biggest victory at Stamford Bridge since 1978.
City will go into this fixture full of confidence as they are unbeaten in eight league games, their longest such run under the Spanish manager.
Antonio Conte's men have not lost back-to-back EPL matches at home since November 2011, when Andre Villas-Boas' side was defeated by Arsenal and then Liverpool.
In team news, the league leaders will be without Victor Moses, while the Manchester club will be missing Bacary Sagna, Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus.
Here’s how the two teams will line up:
Chelsea: Courtois; Zouma, David Luiz, Cahill (c); Azpilicueta, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso; Pedro, Diego Costa, Hazard.
Manchester City: Caballero, Clichy, Stones, Kompany (c), Fernandinho, Delph, Sane, Silva, De Bruyne, Navas, Aguero.
