The massive £5.136 billion (R87.9 billion) TV rights deal signed last year by the league is the biggest of its kind, and it ensured that almost every club in the top flight earned over £100 million (R1.7 billion) this campaign.
Each club received a share of £84.4 million (R1.44 billion) from the three-year TV rights deal, and it heavily increased each side's total winnings for the season.
This year's champions Chelsea walked away with the most money, as they sealed the league trophy under Antonio Conte's guidance. The club earned a total of £153.2 million (R2.62 billion) this season, and received £38.4 million (R658.3 million) for winning the title.
