The Frenchman has not been in the best of form in recent matches and has found himself substituted in his last two matches.

Pogba's absence did not effect the Red Devils, as a brace from Romelu Lukaku secured a 2-0 win on Saturday night.

However, the club have revealed that the midfielder missed the clash with Huddersfield Town due to illness.

Before the game, Mourinho was asked about how serious the flu was, he told BT Sport: "I don't know and honestly I don't care. I focus just on the game since the moment I knew Paul cannot play.

"I will think about Paul after the match, not now."

Yes, the problem between the two is that Pogba is currently not performing as expected. His form dropped and he just need to be benched. The fact that we bought him very expensive doesnt mean he shouldnt be benched. Carrick will stand in his position, he's a fantastic midfielder.
