African superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been in named in the CAF Team of the Year four times since 2013, has explained why he has joined Arsenal.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker, who received the No.14 jersey at the Gunners, is delighted to have moved to the Emirates Stadium due to the club’s great history and hopes he can emulate the legendary Thierry Henry.
“Finally I am really happy to be here of course I can join Miki (Henrikh Mkhitaryan) in this team,” he told Arsenal’s official website.
“I am really happy to be here in this great team. I think the club have such a big history and have great players like Thierry Henry who is an example for all strikers.
“He was fast and scored a lot of goals he was really an example. Maybe (I am like him) but I have to work a lot to be like him and I will do.
“I am a fast player and score goals too, like Henry. I have to work a lot to get there.
“I hope that we come back to the top as soon as possible.”
Aubameyang scored 21 goals in 24 games at BVB before his €63.75 million (R940 million) switch to Arsenal.
