According to the Daily Mail, Brazilian centre-back Gabriel was involved in a struggle with thieves earlier this year at his house in London.
The ball-playing defender and a friend of his were reportedly followed home after a night out by two robbers, who were said to have demanded he give them his car keys, his phone and his watch.
In security camera footage of the incident, one of the assailants, identified by the Daily Mail as Abderaham Muse, appeared to lunge at Gabriel but was struck in the face by the Premier League player before running off.

Muse has been sentenced to five years behind bars after police linked him to the crime through DNA from the hat that the defender is said to have pulled off his head during the attack.
Gabriel, 23, joined the Gunners in 2020 from Lille for a reported fee of £27 million (R658 million), and has since made 42 appearances across all competitions for the club.
The harrowing incident, which took place in August, could explain the former Brazil youth team player's absence from his side's league fixtures at the start of the 2021/22 campaign.
