Coutinho To Force Barca Move?
Philippe Coutinho To Force FC Barcelona Move?
Liverpool's Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho could reportedly make one final push to force through a move to FC Barcelona.
The Merseyside club have so far been unwilling to sell their creative midfielder, despite Barca's massive offers in recent weeks.
After Coutinho handed in a transfer request two weeks ago, it was believed that he was on his way to the Spanish giants, but Liverpool stood firm on their stance that he was not for sale.
The Reds are reportedly not interested in selling the 25-year-old, but Coutinho is said to now be considering making a public statement of his wish to leave Liverpool in order to force a move, according to Yahoo Sports.
The report claimed that a source close to the player has revealed he might go to the press with his statement if Liverpool reject Barca's expected fourth and final bid.
It is believed that Coutinho has a desire to play for the Catalan giants, with the report also claiming that his relationship with manager Jurgen Klopp has soured.
The Brazilian missed both of his club's two opening Premier League games of the season, as well as both fixtures against Hoffenheim in the final qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League.
