The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to FC Barcelona for months, and some believe a deal could still happen in the January transfer window.
During an exclusive interview with Soccer AM, the Brazilian international was asked to pick a five-a-side team consisting of players the attacking midfielder had played alongside in his career.
In goals, Coutinho named his former Inter Milan and national team goalkeeper, Julio Cesar. The 38-year-old, who also played for the likes of Benfica, Queens Park Rangers and Toronto FC, made 87 appearances for the Selecao.
In defence, the Brazilian named yet another former Inter player in centre back Lucio. The pair are close friends to this day, and played alongside each other for a few seasons.
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard was, unsurprisingly to most, picked in midfield, with the playmaker having learned a lot from the former England star at Anfield.

Leading the line for his five-a-side team were Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar and Uruguayan Luis Suarez, so a lot of goals would be expected!
