The accolade is voted by the players themselves, along with the Young Player of the Year award as well.

Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane were nominated for the season's award.

Manchester City trio Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva have also earned nominations following their superb contribution this season.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard, who has registered 16 goals and 12 assists in the league, has also been nominated.

However, there was no place on the list for last season's winner, Mohamed Salah who has netted 18 league goals this season.

The winner will be announced at ceremony in London at the end of this month.
