Pep Guardiola has frozen out four-time African Player of the Year Yaya Toure out of his Champions League squad and his agent has now suggested this will cost the club millions of African fans.

The Spaniard didn’t include the 33-year-old in his 25-man UCL squad with UEFA rules only allowing for 17 overseas players to be registered.
Toure is the only overseas player omitted from Guardiola’s squad and the Ivorian’s agent Dimitri Seluk has once again hit out at the City boss, saying many of the club’s African fans will now turn to Manchester United.
‘They will lose a lot of millions of supporters from Africa because of this decision from Guardiola,” Seluk told DailyMail.
“Now they will support Manchester United. A lot of people in Africa say they will never see any more matches of City on TV.”
It’s not the first time that Guardiola and Toure don’t exactly see eye-to-eye after the Spaniard was also the reason why the midfielder left FC Barcelona in 2010.

Toure has been omitted from four of Guardiola’s first five squads of the season and only played in the dead-rubber UCL qualifier second leg against Steaua Bucharest after City had already won the first game 5-0.
