Pep Guardiola has been without an official assistant since Mikel Arteta joined Arsenal, but the Manchester City boss has now reportedly found a new No. 2.
Arteta became Arsenal's head coach on 22 December 2019, and the assistant coach role at City has been void since.
The likes of Xabi Alonso and Vincent Kompany have been linked with the position, but Marca has now reported that Guardiola's former coach Juanma Lillo will join the Citizens.
The 54-year-old left Chinese side Qingdao Huanghai recently after the team gained promotion to the Super League, citing his mother's health problems as the reason.

Guardiola spent six months as a player under Lillo – whose footballing philosophy is often compared to Johan Cruyff's – at Mexican side Dorados de Sinaloa during the final year of his playing career.
The City boss himself said of Lillo that "he was the best coach I ever had", and admitted he went to Mexico to learn from him.
Lillo is expected to travel to England in the coming days to sign a deal with the reigning Premier League champions.
