Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who many consider the best in the business, says his ambitions in the Premier League involve the toppling of the most successful side in England, Manchester United.
Guardiola endured a difficult debut campaign in England after being appointed manager in 2016, finishing his first season at the club trophyless and under a lot of pressure.
The 2017/18 season saw Guardiola’s possession-based football guide the Citizens to the title, breaking plenty of records along the way.
Speaking in a recent interview, the 47-year-old said his plans in England are to dethrone the 20-time league champions and rivals United.
"We have neighbours who for 15 or 20 years have always won," he said, according to the Daily Mail.
"I think that my biggest challenge as a manager is to change that."
Many are tipping City as favourites to win the league once again this season, while they got off to a great start with a 2-0 win over Arsenal.
