The Spaniard and his side have collected 21 successive victories across all competitions – a run that saw them climb to the top of the Premier League.
As a consequence, City are now leading the table by 14 points ahead of their cross-town rivals, whom they welcome at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Ahead of the clash, Guardiola has revealed which Red Devils stars he believes could cause the biggest challenge for his side.
"They are so strong in all departments," he said, as per Manchester Evening News.
"Defensively, and Bruno Fernandes, the speed up front with (Daniel) James, (Marcus) Rashford, (Anthony) Martial, the experience of (Edinson) Cavani, a player I admire the most for what he's done with his career.
"It's Manchester United. It's a privilege to compete with them, to be in front of them. Sunday is no exception. It's our target to do what we've done lately."
A victory could see the Citizens go 17 points ahead of United with just 10 leagues left to play.
