The Spaniard is currently in charge of his third senior side at City, following jobs at FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Speaking about his future recently, Guardiola said he is interested in one day managing a national team, but did not reveal interest in any particular country.
"If the opportunity came, I would like to be a national team coach," he said on the Universe Valdano show.
"If it can be done, I would like to do it. You learn languages, cultures, to travel and see other places is nice, also for the family."
The 47-year-old was also asked about the possibility of taking charge of Argentina.
"No for sure, not there," he added.
