Pep Hits Back At Wenger After Sterling Jibe

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola took a swipe at Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger after Raheem Sterling won the Citizens a penalty in their 2-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Sunday.

Pep's City Restore Eight-Point Lead Over Man Utd

Earlier this month, the England international won his side a spot-kick in similar fashion in their victory over the Gunners, after which the Frenchman claimed that the winger "dives well".

After City's victory over Huddersfield, Guardiola insisted that Sterling's penalty was the correct decision from the match official, but hinted that if someone were to ask Wenger for his opinion, he would probably say otherwise.

"Two clear penalties. Maybe Arsene will say that is (a) penalty," the Spanish tactician said, as quoted by FourFourTwo.

"I think the penalty is more than evident. He can still improve, but he's made a big step. He's winning games. Now he's a winning player.

"But not just regarding goals, now he's strong, keeps the ball... before he used to lose a lot of balls. He's 22 years old, and still, he can improve a lot.

"He's able to... if he wants to learn. We'll be there to help him."
