Pep Considering Huge Swap Deal To Get Alexis?

Pep Guardiola Considering Huge Swap Deal To Get Alexis Sanchez?

By Kurt Buckerfield - Aug 03, 2017 04:30 PM @KurtLaduma

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly considering a huge swap deal to secure the signing of Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez Preparing To Leave Arsenal?

According to the Daily Express, the Spanish tactician is desperate for Arsenal attacker Sanchez to join the Citizens this season.

Arsene Wenger has insisted that the Chilean will not be leaving the Gunners ahead of the new season, with several clubs said to be after the player.

It has now been claimed that Guardiola is considering including striker Sergio Aguero as part of his offer for Sanchez, in what would be one of the biggest swap deals in recent times.

Despite Aguero being a fan favourite at the Etihad, the manager has shown that he perhaps feels differently about the striker, who he left on the bench several times in the previous campaign.

Sanchez has admitted it is his dream to win the UEFA Champions League at some point in his career, something he will not be able to achieve in the coming campaign as Arsenal did not qualify for the 2017/18 edition of the tournament.

The Chilean was in fantastic form for the Gunners last season, scoring 30 goals and assisting a further 19 strikes in all competitions.

With just a year remaining at Arsenal for Alexis this might be tempting. But would rather stay with Sanchez, considering that Arsenal has just signed Lacca, and only use one striker upfront.

If I was Wenger I would allow that swap deal you can't let a player like Aguero leave your team just like that he will be the main man in Arsenal

@silenc I would consider doing the same if i was Pep. Aguero is good and will always be like that, But Sanchez is also a very good and competitive player. With Aguero's injury struggles, I'd definitely let him go and sign Sanchez instead.
