Pep Guardiola Aims Subtle Dig At Jose Mourinho?
Following the recent Manchester derby drama, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola seems to have taken a subtle dig at his rival Jose Mourinho.
The Citizens host Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday in the Premier League, a team that Guardiola reserved great praise for.
The Spaniard feels that Spurs and Chelsea are teams that always try and play football, something that Mourinho’s been criticised for not doing at the Red Devils, especially in big matches.
"Tottenham I think is, with Chelsea, the best team in wanting to play football," he said, according to the Mirror.
"They don't expect the other ones to play, they want to make their own game, and it is another amazing test for us three days after playing Swansea.
"After, we have Leicester in the Carabao Cup. There is not too much time for recovery but we are ready to face Tottenham and keep that level that we showed in the last period."
City are currently 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League, having won 16 of their 17 games so far this season.
