After his exit from Manchester United was confirmed, French midfielder Paul Pogba caused a major stir with comments he made about the Red Devils in his recently-released documentary.
Report: Man Utd Offer Contract To Shock Star
Although he is considered among the more talented players of his generation, Pogba continues to divide opinion following the release of his new documentary titled The Pogmentary.
In the film, the 29-year-old discusses his future and insists that his sole aim going forward is to prove to United that "they made a mistake in waiting" to give him a new contract.
According to Sportsmole, Pogba also wants to prove to other clubs who once might have been interested in his signature that they should have pounced on him when they had the chance, saying he aims to "show other clubs that they had made a mistake in not offering me a contract".
Arguably the biggest stir the France international has caused with the release of his documentary is the way in which he talks about the contract offer he did receive from United, however.
Pogba, it is said, claims the Premier League giants made him a "nothing" offer, despite reports suggesting the Red Devils were willing to give him a new deal in excess of £290 000 a week (R5.7 million).
United confirmed his upcoming departure earlier this month ahead of the expiration of his contract in England, and it is believed he is closing in on a return to Juventus.
Pogba has already agreed terms with the Bianconeri, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, and is expected to be unveiled by the Turin club in early July.
