Despite Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus reportedly circling for his signature, Paul Pogba's future could take a dramatic twist following a new shock development.
With the 29-year-old midfielder's contract at Manchester United expiring in June, many expect him to move on from England as a free agent in the coming transfer window.
Rivals Manchester City reportedly approached the player's camp over a potential free transfer earlier this month, but were met with a firm rejection from Pogba, who was said to not have been at all tempted by the Citizens' offer.
Clubs such as Real, PSG and Juve are among those monitoring his situation, according to reports across Europe, but Sky Sports now has reason to believe the France international might not yet have completely ruled out staying with the Red Devils.
It is suggested the midfielder would "welcome" talks with incoming United boss Erik ten Hag, who said at the weekend he would be starting his tenure in charge of the English giants early considering the work that needs to be done.
Other news outlets in Europe, meanwhile, have claimed that Pogba still has a renewal offer to consider from his current club.
Among those interested in his signature, only Juve are believed to have tabled a contract offer to the player, although the Italian giants are not able to match what he is currently earning in the Premier League.
