It is believed the Frenchman and his manager fell out last season, which led to many claiming the player would be on his way out of the club during the off-season.
Pogba ended up staying at United despite being heavily linked with FC Barcelona and Juventus, but his relationship with Mourinho has now, once again, seemingly taken a turn for the worse.
On Monday night, following United's Carabao Cup loss to Derby County – for which the Frenchman was not included in the matchday squad – the Portuguese boss admitted that he had stripped Pogba of the vice-captaincy after their Premier League draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.
Mourinho was believed to be furious with Pogba's comments after that game, during which he seemed to suggest that United's approach to the game was wrong.
Then, on Wednesday morning, a video of the 25-year-old and Mourinho having a few words with each other on the training ground emerged via Sky Sports.
According to The Guardian, Mourinho was unhappy with a video that Pogba had posted on Instagram, in which it appeared he was laughing at the team's League Cup loss with fellow teammates Luke Shaw and Andreas Pereira, who were also rested for the match against Derby.
Reports: Pogba Chooses Next Club
It has been claimed that, because of internet connection issues at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, Pogba's video was only uploaded an hour after he initially intended it to be posted, therefore making it look as though his video was a reaction to the result when it was actually posted midway through the game.
