The Frenchman was sent off in the Red Devils' 3-1 win away at Arsenal on Saturday evening, after his studs quite clearly caught Bellerin's leg.
Many have speculated that Pogba's challenge was not intentional, a claims the 24-year-old himself has now reiterated.
"Yeah, I didn't really speak after the game – I didn't have time – but I think Hector, I know him as well, and I would never give him a tackle like this," he said, according to talkSPORT.
"It looks very bad but the intention wasn't like that.
"They had the decision, the referee got the red card and that's football."
Pogba's sending off will see him miss United's next three domestic games, with the first being against Manchester City at Old Trafford this weekend.
The Frenchman has played 12 matches for the Red Devils so far this season, scoring three goals and assisting a further three strikes.
