The Red Devils manager has confirmed that Jesse Lingard will join West Ham United on loan, saying he hopes the player can bounce back from a difficult stint at Old Trafford.
"We want Jesse to come back here revitalised and having shown at West Ham how good a player he is," Solskjaer said, as quoted by Goal.
"He's just been unfortunate with a couple of issues, some periods he had to stay away from us with COVID-19, isolation and close contact.
"The rest of the team has done well. We've had little to no injuries and he’s not forced his way into the team. I just want him to go there and enjoy himself, show how good a player he is and come back and show he's a Man Utd player through and through."

Solskjaer also indicated that Marcos Rojo is close to leaving in this window, with reports suggesting that he will join Boca Juniors, while Sergio Romero is likely to stay.
"It is likely that Marcos goes back to Argentina – little bit of paperwork left to be done," the Norwegian added.
"(As for) Sergio, I've not heard anything there apart from that he'll be with us for the rest of his contract."
United have already loaned out Ethan Laird, while Timothy Fosu-Mensah joined Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and Odion Ighalo returned to Shanghai Shenhua after his loan spell ended.
