Premier League football has been on pause since mid-March, but a return date for the English top flight as well as the first fixtures have now been announced.

English top flight clubs have agreed to resume the league campaign on 17 June, the Premier League announced on Thursday evening following an earlier report by The Telegraph.
"Project Restart" was discussed by all Premier League clubs in a meeting on Thursday afternoon.
The league will resume with the two catch-up games between Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday, and Manchester City and Arsenal.
Thereafter, all 20 teams will have completed 29 match rounds, and normal matchdays resume on 19 June, with matches staggered across the whole weekend.
Weekend matches will be scheduled as follows (all times BST):
Saturday 12:30, 15:00, 17:30; 20:00
Sunday 12:00, 14:00, 16:30; 19:00
Midweek matches will be scheduled as follows (all times BST):
Tuesday 18:00; 20:00
Wednesday 18:00; 20:00
Thursday 18:00; 20:00
The league is keen to complete the season by the weekend of 1 and 2 August, with several midweek match rounds being part of the schedule, although this is yet to be released.
