Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante completed his individual awards treble and was named the Player of the Season after claiming the PFA and FWA Player of the Campaign awards.
"It's a huge honour to be named player of the year by such big names in football and I want to thank everyone who voted for me," he told the Premier League's official website.
"I work hard in training, I try to give my best, and I work with so many very good players – that's why we won the league two times.
"We played many good games but we won 5-0 against Everton, which was a very beautiful game, and also my goal against Manchester United (in a comprehensive 4-0 victory)."
Harry Kane ran away with the Golden Boot award after netting seven goals in his final two Premier League games, and was thrilled to lift the award for a second successive season.
"It's a great feeling," Kane said.
"It looked unlikely over the last few weeks – I was just nipping away at Lukaku – but to finish in the way I did is a very proud moment for me."
Meanwhile, Kante's Chelsea teammate Thibaut Courtois lifted the league's Golden Glove after keeping 16 clean sheets this season – one more than his closest rival Hugo Lloris.
"In a league like the Premier League, it's very nice (to win the Golden Glove), I am very proud of it," Courtois explained.
"I have to thank all of the team, you don't do it alone. Of course, there were key saves that kept a clean sheet but all of the team defended well, it was a great year for everybody."
