Manchester United have confirmed that a young defender will spend the remainder of the season in the Championship on loan.
After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that the club will look to sell Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero, the Red Devils have now sent Ethan Laird on loan to MK Dons.
Laird made his first-team debut in the UEFA Europa League last season against Astana while he also made an appearance against AZ Alkmaar.
Manchester United defender Ethan Laird has joined MK Dons on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
The 19-year-old, who has been with United since the age of 10, embarks on his first temporary move away from the club.
Laird made his senior bow last season, in the Europa League tie against Astana, and also featured against AZ Alkmaar at Old Trafford the following week.
The full-back joins the Dons’ following significant interest in taking him on loan. He is set to feature in an attacking system and excellent playing environment with the League One outfit.
