"City winger Patrick Roberts has joined Derby County on loan for the remainder of the season," a statement on the club's official website read.
"The 23-year-old has previously enjoyed loan spells with Celtic, Girona FC, Norwich City and Middlesbrough.

Roberts was dubbed the "English Messi" during the early days of his career, and was even endorsed as one of the best young talents in the game by the Argentine himself, but has since largely failed to live up to expectations.
He was on loan at Middlesbrough in the first half of this campaign, but returned to City after starting just five games.
He joined the Citizens in 2015, and has made just three first-team appearances for the Premier League side since.
