The Blues have completed the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion left-back Marc Cucurella, 24, after hijacking the transfer from EPL rivals Manchester City.
The former Barcelona academy player has become the London club's fourth acquisition of the window following the arrivals of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Gabriel Slonina and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Cucurella joined Brighton from Getafe in 2021 and immediately became a key player for Graham Potter's side, making 38 appearances in all competitions and contributing to three goals.
For his efforts in the previous campaign, the one-time Spain international was voted Brighton's Player of the Season at the club's annual awards evening.
The ex-LaLiga player appeared close to joining Pep Guardiola's City earlier in this window, but the champions failed to strike a deal with the Seagulls.
