Playing in the English top flight is a dream for many footballers, but, for various reasons, a few have found themselves making their way out of the league that is widely thought of as one of the most competitive in the world.
After 10 incredible years in the division, Sergio Aguero has departed Manchester City to continue his career in Spain with Barcelona, and has been joined by his ex-City teammate Eric Garcia, who returns to the Catalan club after four years in England.
The young centre-back joined the Citizens' youth set-up from the Blaugrana's famed academy in 2017, but, like Aguero, has joined the LaLiga team's senior side after leaving the Premier League champions as a free agent.
While he spent the entire 2020/21 season on loan at RB Leipzig, 24-year-old left-back Angelino will complete his move to the Bundesliga side from City at the beginning of next month, with the transfer having already been confirmed.
The EPL has also lost Netherlands captain Georginio Wijnaldum after five successful years at Liverpool, where he celebrated four trophies, including the league title and the UEFA Champions League.
Wijnaldum, 30, was believed to be closing in on a move to Barcelona before reportedly deciding to accept a bigger contract offer from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, who announced his arrival on a three-year deal last week.
