No Man Utd Send-Off For Lingard? Player's Brother Fumes

Jesse Lingard's brother had some harsh words for Manchester United after the Englishman was left on the bench for the Red Devils' 3-0 win over Brentford at Old Trafford on Monday night.

The victory came in United's final home game of the season, and with Lingard's contract set to expire at the end of the season, his agent and brother, Louie Scott, was left seething after the midfielder had to watch the entire game from the dugout while other players who are also heading for the exit door, such as Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Edinson Cavani, were given a final run-out.

This prompted a furious response from the player's sibling on Instagram.

"20 years of blood sweat and tears, 4 domestic trophies, 3 cup final goals, not even a farewell. No wonder it's [UEFA Europa[ Conference League next year," Scott wrote, as per The Sun.

"Attacking players for celebrations when the clubs being sold to the super league ok.

"Class of 92, Busby Babes, you're ran by people who don't even know the offside trap. Classless and the fans need to realise. Goodnight, god bless!

"Been there since nine years of age and didn't even get a send-off! Well done bro, your family are proud."

Lingard has failed to nail down a regular starting XI berth at the Theatre of Dreams over the past few seasons and was reportedly denied the opportunity to leave for Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

After a successful loan spell at West Ham United last season, the 29-year-old has made only eight appearances in the league for the Red Devils since Ralf Rangnick's appointment as interim boss in December last year.

The attacking midfielder has also recently came in for some backlash from the club's fanbase after United legend Paul Scholes revealed that, following a conversation he had with the England international, Lingard had told him the team's dressing room is a "disaster".

"It's an absolute mess. It's a disaster of a dressing room. I had a quick chat with Jesse the other day and I'm sure he won't mind me saying he said the dressing room is just a disaster," Scholes disclosed at the time.
