Mourinho Charged By FA With Misconduct
Embattled Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been charged by the FA with misconduct for his post-match comments on Saturday.
Mourinho criticised the match officials following his side's 3-1 defeat to Southampton.
He singled out one decision which saw the referee book Rademel Falcao for diving when he went down in the Saints box, when Mourinho believed it should have been a penalty.
"The referees are afraid to give decisions to Chelsea. Once more, we don't get the penalty at a crucial moment in the game," Mourinho said.
"The penalty in this game is crucial because my team, at the moment, the first negative thing that happens, they collapse."
He continued: "If [the FA] want to punish me, they can punish me. They don't punish other managers."
"I want to say it again: referees are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea.
"The penalty was a giant penalty and the referee was afraid to give it, like everyone else is afraid to give it."
