Five Liverpool players were included in Alan Shearer's 2019/20 Premier League Team of the Season, but Mohamed Salah was snubbed despite being involved in more goals than any of his teammates during their title-winning campaign.

The former England international was asked to pick his Dream Team of the 2019/20 campaign for the league's official website recently.
Shearer himself won the English top flight with Blackburn Rovers in the 1994/95 campaign, and is regarded as one of the best English players in history.
Still the league's all-time record goalscorer, he has worked as a pundit since hanging up his boots, although he did also have a short stint as manager of Newcastle United.
In terms of his 2019/20 Team of the Season, three of Liverpool's back four made Shearer's selection, while captain Jordan Henderson, who was recently named the Football Writers Association Footballer of the Year, and Sadio Mane were picked as well.
"A consistent performer for Liverpool. On the odd occasion they couldn't break teams down, he (Mane) was the one that unlocked the door," Shearer said in explaining his selection of the Senegal winger.
Up front, his team is led by Jamie Vardy, who beat Danny Ings and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the 2019/20 EPL Golden Boot after netting 23 times this season.
"The Golden Boot winner, and the star man in what was a terrific season for Leicester City. What a player," Shearer said of Vardy.
The former Three Lions forward, though, did not pick Salah despite the Egyptian winger contributing to 29 goals during Liverpool's title-winning campaign, with only Kevin De Bruyne being involved in more goals in the 2019/20 season – you can see the complete team in the gallery above!
