Mohamed Salah has reportedly made a strange request in talks over a new Liverpool contract that could see him become the club's highest-paid player of all time.
According to Sky Germany, the former Roma and Chelsea winger is said to have demanded that the Reds sign a new forward.
The in-form superstar and Liverpool have been in contract discussions for much of the year as they seek to reach a conclusion over his future, amid suggestions that the Egyptian has asked for his weekly wages to be doubled.
Salah, however, is also said to be concerned with Liverpool's transfer business, with the 29-year-old reportedly hoping the club will bring a new striker in to bolster the team's attack.
The six-time UEFA Champions League winners have been linked with Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland and Lille forward Jonathan David of late.
The Ligue 1 star has impressed since joining the French club from Gent in 2020, and the Canada international has scored 15 goals in 26 matches so far this season.
Haaland, meanwhile, has scored 76 times in just 75 appearances for BVB, although he is also being chased by a number of Europe's biggest sides.
