Mohamed Salah Reveals What Manchester United Boss Jose Mourinho Said To Him This Season
Premier League Golden Boot winner Mohamed Salah has revealed what his former manager Jose Mourinho said to him on the two occasions the pair met this season.
The Egyptian superstar, who was labelled a flop during his time at Chelsea, has had a phenomenal return to the English top flight, scoring 32 goals in 36 league matches for the Reds this campaign.
The 25-year-old, who did not get much opportunity to play for the Blues under Mourinho, has now revealed that his former boss had only good things to say to him when they met at Anfield and Old Trafford this season.
"I did meet him twice – in our match here at Anfield (Liverpool vs Manchester United) and in the other match in Manchester," Salah told Egypt Today.
"He told me that he is happy with what I am doing. So, I thanked him. We did not talk much; I just said 'hi' to him, and he told me that he was happy for me."
The Egypt forward, who will be representing his country at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, made 51 appearances across all competitions for the Merseyside club this season, scoring 44 goals and assisting a further 16 strikes.
