The Egypt international, who attended two awards ceremonies on Thursday, was named Liverpool's Player of the Season and Player's Player of the Season at Anfield, before heading off to London in a private jet to receive the Football Writers' Association's Footballer of the Year award.
Speaking at the FWA event, the 25-year-old admitted he is delighted with his Premier League return and was glad he was able to prove his Chelsea naysayers wrong.
"To be honest, yes," Salah answered when asked if he was proud of his accomplishments, as quoted by ESPN.
"Because I was here like four years ago and many people said he could not (have) success, that I cannot play in the Premier League, (that) it was very difficult for him.
"So it was always in my mind to come back – from the first day I left Chelsea – it was always in my mind to make them wrong. So I made them wrong."
The 25-year-old has made 50 appearances for Liverpool so far this season, scoring 43 goals and assisting a further 15 strikes.
