Salah scored the first goal in his side's 4-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, taking his tally to 32 for the season.
In doing so, he broke the record for the most goals in a 38-game Premier League campaign, set by Alan Shearer with Blackburn Rovers in 1995/96, and equalled by Ronaldo at Manchester United in 2007/08 and Luis Suarez at Liverpool in 2013/14.
The Liverpool winger became only the second African to lift the Premier League golden boot, following in the footsteps of Didier Drogba, who won it twice with Chelsea, in 2006/07 (20 goals) and 2009/10 (29 goals).
Harry Kane, meanwhile, wrote his name into Tottenham Hotspur's record books, becoming the first player in the club's history to finish the season with 30 Premier League goals after scoring a brace in Spur's 5-4 win over Leicester City.
He became only the eighth player to score 30 goals in a 38-game Premier League campaign, joining Salah, who hit the 30-goal mark earlier in the season.
