Mesut Ozil Fires Back At Arsenal Legends Who Criticise Him

By Keegan Kruger - Sep 04, 2017 05:00 PM @KeeganKruger

Arsenal contract rebel Mesut Ozil has hit back at Gunners legends who frequently criticise him.

Reports: Sanchez Devastated At Failed City Move

The 28-year-old's commitment to the Emirates club has been questioned in recent months as the player has refused to pen to paper on a new deal.

The Germany international, who has often been criticised for sub-standard performances when things are not going right, has hit back at his critics, especially those who use to play for the London club.

"Personally, I've had to accept a lot of criticism during my time in London," Ozil wrote in a Facebook post.

"Too expensive, too greedy, bad body language, and lacking fight – this is what people have said about me.

"Some of these comments are made by those who do not know me, some are made by former players – both successful and unsuccessful during their time here at the club.

"Although criticism is something that all football players have to deal with, I nevertheless expected legends to behave like legends – my advice to these former Gunners is to stop talking and start supporting."

Reports: City Considering Legal Action Against Arsenal

Arsenal have not had a good start to their Premier League campaign – they have won just one of their first three fixtures.

Do you think it is wise for Ozil to be having a moan at the club's former players? Have your say in the comments section below.

Chewable bunch of warnings from Ozil. I put my money on that, too. Not all is about them, or Arsenal, Ozil too is human. Feelings take pride in humans as well as we all seek happiness in this short period on earth. Come on.

he expects anyone to compliment him for a job well done, when he performed well, right?i dont see anything wrong when people question his poor performances, especially those who know his capabilities.arsenal's biggest mistake this transfer window was their failure to sell Ozil and sanchez, their bodies are @arsenal but their hearts and minds are elsewhere.
