It has been reported that following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking at Manchester United, Mauricio Pochettino could be about to quit Paris Saint-Germain for the Red Devils, and be replaced in France by Zinedine Zidane.
According to French publication Le Parisien, the ex-Real Madrid boss could soon be appointed manager of PSG considering Pochettino's situation in France.
Reports on Monday suggested that the Argentine tactician would be interested in leaving the French giants for United mid-season following the dismissal of Solskjaer in England.
Pochettino was strongly linked with the Red Devils job in 2019, but ultimately stayed on as Tottenham Hotspur boss when the 20-time English giants decided to hand Solskjaer a permanent deal after a good run of form as interim manager.
Here are some more high-profile managers who have already been sacked this season:
It is believed that Pochettino would not want to miss out on the opportunity again, and would prefer working on a long-term project, something he might not have in the French capital due to the nature of how PSG is run.
Zidane was initially linked with the vacant post at United but reportedly has no interest in taking his career to the Premier League at this time, with his wife also said to be unwilling to live in Manchester.
It is also claimed that players within the PSG squad believe Zidane's arrival could be imminent as Pochettino seeks an exit from the Ligue 1 leaders.
