'Mauricio Pochettino Must Replace Jose Mourinho At Manchester United'
Controversial boss Jose Mourinho is nearing his third season at Manchester United, which is usually as long as he stays at a single club, and it has now been said Tottenham Hotspurs’ Mauricio Pochettino should succeed him!
The Portuguese has never stayed at one club for longer than three years, with many criticising the manager for often leaving teams in worse shape than when he joined them.
Gary Neville, who won seven Premier Leagues with United, would love to see Pochettino at the helm of his old club when Mourinho eventually moves on, insisting he has produced incredible results under difficult circumstances at the Lilywhites.
"When Jose Mourinho’s time is finished at Manchester United, whether that’s one year, two years," he told Sky Sports.
"I hope it’s three years and I hope he wins multiple Premier League titles because I think he’s a fantastic manager, but this is the guy (Pochettino) I would want to manage the club I support.
"I think he’s the guy who deserves it. It’s probably the same for Paris Saint-Germain, it’s probably the same for Real Madrid.
"Daniel Levy knows that and I think that’s coming in the next 12 months for Tottenham. He is a big (issue) in a sense that if he leaves, it will be an issue for Tottenham.
"He is extracting the maximum from very limited resources."
Pochettino has not yet won a trophy at Spurs, but has impressed with his league finishes over the last three season.
In his first campaign, the London club ended fifth on the log, then improved on that the next season by finishing third, while last season Spurs finished second in the EPL.
The Argentine’s men are currently fourth on the table with three more league games to go until the end of the campaign.
