United have already signed Diogo Dalot and Fred ahead of next season, but it is believed that Jose Mourinho is looking to bring in another one or two players.
According to the Daily Star, Chelsea's Willian is one of the stars the Portuguese manager is looking to sign, although the Brazilian has also been heavily linked with FC Barcelona. Mourinho has worked with the 29-year-old previously, however, which might swing his possible move in United's favour.
Mexico's 2018 FIFA World Cup starlet Hirving Lozano is also reportedly being considered by the English giants, as is Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale, who has been on United's radar since he left Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Welshman might want to remain in Spain, with Cristiano Ronaldo having left the Santiago Bernabeu for Juventus this week.
Two defensive targets are said to be Tottenham Hotspurs' Toby Alderweireld and Bianconeri left-back Alex Sandro, with Mourinho reportedly wanting to strengthen his backline.
Meanwhile, winger Anthony Martial could be on his way out of Old Trafford in this window, following a frustrating 2017/18 campaign. The Frenchman is believed to be unhappy with the number of times he sat on the bench, although he has returned to United for pre-season training.
Spanish playmaker Juan Mata has also been linked with a move away from the English club, as has Italian defender Matteo Darmian, who has been out of favour under Mourinho.
With Sandro said to be a target, United's Luke Shaw could find himself on his way out, while Dutch international Daley Blind might also be shipped out before the start of the new campaign.
