The transfer window at the end of the season could be a busy one for United, especially if the club fails to claim silverware between now and then.
Being one of the biggest and wealthiest teams in the world, which comes with a host of serious expectations, the Red Devils are likely to dip into the transfer market in order to improve on the current squad.
According to The Sun, Eintracht Frankfurt's Andre Silva is on United's radar. It is claimed that the Portuguese striker has been offered to the Red Devils for only £30 million (R621 million), but his representatives will only agree to the deal if a forward leaves United first.
The 25-year-old has been in excellent form for the German club so far this season so far, netting 19 times and assisting a further five strikes in 22 matches across all competitions.
Silva's experience of different leagues could appeal to United, with the striker having already played in Portugal, Spain, Italy and Germany.
West Ham United vice-captain Declan Rice is also said to be of interest to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his coaching staff, although the London club has reportedly set a price tag of £100 million (R2 billion) for his services.
Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde is reportedly still an option United could look to explore, although Fiorentina's 23-year-old ball-playing defender Nikola Milenkovic could be a cheaper alternative to the Frenchman.
The Daily Mail has suggested that the Serbian has also been offered to the English giants, despite reports claiming the former Partizan Belgrade defender is being closely followed by Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
