Premier League rivals Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to do business in a player-plus-cash deal, with Jose Mourinho keen on getting rid of one of his players.
The Red Devils have reportedly been interested in Spurs left-back Danny Rose for some time, but their pursuit of the English fullback will not be easy.
According to The Sun, the Lilywhites will not let the 27-year-old go cheaply, and would only accept to a swap deal worth £40 million (R693 million) plus Luke Shaw.
Rose has been linked with United, as well as Chelsea, in recent transfer windows, and has found himself falling down the pecking order in London.
The player’s comments about Spurs’ transfer business at the start of the season also landed him in hot water, after he suggested the club should stop signing players that nobody knows.
Rose was forced to apologise to his teammates following those comments, and has seemingly been out-of-favour with Mauricio Pochettino ever since.
Although Rose was injured for the most part of the season, Ben Davies has often been preferred to him since his comeback, which leads to many believing his time at Spurs is coming to an end.
At United, Shaw has also been heavily tipped to move come the end of the current campaign, as he is currently out-of-favour with Jose Mourinho.
