English giants Manchester United are reportedly willing to double FC Barcelona’s offer for one of the best attackers in European football.Antoine Griezmann has been tipped to leave Atletico Madrid at the end of the season, with a number of clubs after his signature.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Barca are willing to offer the player a five-year deal worth £13 million (R242 million) a year, though suggest United could double that offer.
It is, however, said that the Frenchman might be tempted to rather join Barca over United, despite the difference in offers.
The report claims Griezmann would probably ask Barca for the same salary as Luis Suarez, who reportedly earns £18 million (R335 million) annually.
The 26-year-old was expected to join the Red Devils last season, but decided to stay at the club when it was announced that Atletico Madrid had a transfer ban.
